AIG District 2 is decorated with newly promoted ACP Egbeyemi at a grand ceremony.
Nigeria News Nalin It was reported that in a major event, outstanding guests including Northern royalties and community leaders participated in the Assistant Inspector General (AIG), responsible for the 2nd District Command, Onikan, Lagos, Aig Fayoade Adegoke Mustapha, formally decorated Saheed Olayinka Egbeyemi, whose new position is Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), on March 27, 275, 27.255.
The Nigerian news platform learned that the promotion of ACP Egbeyemi follows the recommendations of the Inspector General Police Department (IGP) (IGP) ten days ago. Previously served as commander of the Strategic Team of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos, and his promotion measures from the Chief Principal of the Police Department (CSP) to the ACP highlighted his exemplary service and dedication service.
The decorative ceremony at MD Abubakar Hall was a joyous event as the hall burst into applause when the name of ACP Egbeyemi was announced by CSP Ayuba. Friends, family, colleagues and blessedians gathered to celebrate the milestone, reflecting the high emphasis he paid in the army and its community.
In a speech to newly promoted officials, AIG Fayoade stressed that the promotions are strictly based on performance in recognition of officials’ commitment and excellent service in terms of service. He urged them to strengthen their efforts to maintain law and order, thereby strengthening the mission of the Nigerian police force to protect lives and property.
“There is greater responsibility as you advance,” said Aig Fayoade. “You have now joined the police chief in a different capacity, lagging behind the Prime Minister’s cadre. The expectations are higher and the demands on your professionalism and leadership will be greater.”
He congratulated all promoted officers and paid tribute to their families and guests, and recognized the important support they provided to the officers.
ACP Egbeyemi’s extensive experience in community policing was the main highlight of the event, which was evident among the numerous VIPs to celebrate his achievements. Notable attendees included HRH Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja, Sarki of Alimosho Local Government in Lagos and HH Amb. Dr. Sani Salisu Danmuttaqa, Sarkin Samari in the seventeen states of Nigeria. Various NGOs including the Agege Molebi United Forum and Zenon Club, as well as his alumni from the African Church Elementary School and Anwarul Islam College (ACAOSA), also participated in the celebration.
ACP Saheed Olayinka Egbeyemi was reportedly appointed to lead the operational department of the 2nd District Command, effective immediately, further strengthening his role in strengthening national security in Lagos and Ogun.
