Colombian police arrested a 40-year-old man in an attempt to hide bags of cocaine under one of his partner on his head.
Police said the suspect was detained at Cartagena Airport on Monday, February 24 and he was preparing to board a flight to Amsterdam.
A scanner revealed that he hid 220 grams of cocaine in a pouch, strategically placed under what authorities call “Narco wigs.”
Police estimate the street value of drugs on European markets to be around €10,000.
The moment a police officer wearing blue gloves was released Monday, carefully unloading the suspect’s wig with scissors, showing about twelve packets of cocaine.

Further police statements confirmed the suspect’s previous criminal record, including two previous drug trafficking convictions.

“Organized criminal groups are exploiting young people, mistakenly showing that they can easily bypass our security measures,” said Yesid Peña, commander of the Cartagena Police Department. However, this situation shows that this is incorrect.”
