Ondo residents took to the streets amid protests against the state’s continuous kidnapping.
The recent kidnapping case in Owode Ilu-abo in the local government area in southern Akur was reportedly the last straw as mine surveyors were kidnapped.
The victim, said to be a native of Akur, was kidnapped last week.
Reacting to this, people (mostly women) walked the road along Oba Adaida Road in Akure, Uto.
Affort Afolabi gave a personal interview with the victim’s sister by the state, revealing that the kidnappers demanded millions of naira before they were released.
She said;
The kidnapper demanded N50 million before negotiations began to be held for release. ”
She added: “The kidnappers now release the ransom from the ransom before the victim is released.”
Hardship: Man climbs telecom masts and threatens suicide
