Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar claims that Senate President Godwill Akpabio is not only corrupt, but also has a history of abuse of women.

Naija News Atiku reportedly made this claim in an interview with Nigerian journalist Adesuwa Giwa-Osagie, a plan with countless stories.

In a clip shared on Instagram on Tuesday, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 presidential candidate accused the National Assembly of corruption on the grounds that it approved President Bola Tinubu’s state of emergency announcement in Rivers.

He said “I’m not surprised because I know the leadership is corrupt and I don’t apologize for it. They can do anything. The Senate president is known for this behavior, even during his tenure as governor.”

Atticu also reiterated that he has no regrets about not choosing the current minister of the Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Before the 2027 presidential election, Attiku expressed his willingness to support any reliable candidates emerging from such alliances when talking about possible political alliances.

He said “We had a similar merger in 2014, with several candidates competing for the presidency. One of them ran, and we all supported him. I’ve never seen Nigeria need more experienced and reliable leadership than it is now.”

    Interview excerpts

Q: Do you regret not choosing Wike as your running companion?

    answer:”No, not at all. ”

Q: Are there any reports that he had any reports on the corruption of Godswill Akpabio when he was Governor?

answer:”Yes. Not only is he corrupt, but he has a history of abuse of women. ”

Q: Who do you think will lead the league and will you run for president again?

answer:”In 2014, we conducted a similar merger and competed for several candidates. One person appears, and we all support him. Nigeria has never needed reliable leadership more than it is now. ”

Q: Are you surprised by the ease with which the National Assembly approved a state of emergency?

answer:”no. The leadership is corrupt and I do not apologize for it. They can do anything. The Senate president is known for such behavior, even the governor. ”
