Okezie Ikpeazu, the direct governor of Abia, criticized the elected governor, who publicly criticized his predecessor after taking office.
Ikpeazu talked about Africa’s ability to develop in the current multipolar reality in Abuja on Thursday, and Ikpeazu described the governors as “ladies leaders”, believing that they failed to recognize the positive achievements of their predecessors and instead focused solely on criticism.
He said:Anyone who takes leadership and says first that everything his ex does is bad is a lady leader. ”
Ikpeazu, who was in Abia from 2015 to 2023 People’s Democratic Party (PDP)in a painful dispute with his successor, Alex Otti. Since the transfer of power in 2023, the two have exchanged sharp condemnations.
Last year, Otti accused Ikpeazu of withdrawing $1.9 trillion from the state government’s finance department during his tenure. To investigate the allegations, Governor Otti hired a private auditing company, KPMG International Nigeria Limited, to review the financial status of the state’s ikpeazu government for eight years.
