Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike dismissed rumors about going abroad for treatment due to health conditions.
Naija News The former governor of the River State explained that he had gone abroad to attend his son’s graduation ceremony instead of medical reasons during his celebrations at the Platinum Jubilee in Port Harcourt on Friday.
Vick also denied the virus rumor that he collapsed, noting that he was fanatical and crazi.
The minister added that he was never sick, even if he was a human being, he was a human being.
He said “I’m here. I’m healthy-very good. Someone started spreading out what I collapsed. I’ve never been sick. Even if I’m, am I not a human?”
“Those who want others to fall will be the ones who fall. When you fall, it will be the final one.”
Meanwhile, Wike slammed the district council presidents for failing to pay their council workers the minimum wage.
Naija News The report said Vick responded to mass protests by primary school teachers, district council workers and health workers in terms of the failure to realize minimum wages and other rights.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Thursday, during a routine inspection of certain major road projects, the project was scheduled to be commissioned in May 2025, as a year for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vick described the protests by teachers and council staff as unfortunate.
Vick refused, despite his approval, his primary school teacher’s outstanding rights.
The minister called on the Nigerian Teachers Union (NUT) to exercise patience and pointed out that the Chairman had been called to attend an emergency meeting.
