Amaechi praised and awarded his long-time political rival Wike.

Nigeria News Nalin Former transport minister Rotimi Amaechi presented awards from his long-time political rival Nyesom Wike, the current federal capital region.

The dispute between the two politicians began in 2015, when Amaechi left the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to join the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Rivers Governor Amaechi started his tenure at the School of Medicine at Rivers State University (RSU). However, he couldn’t finish it before leaving the office in 2015. Wike succeeded Amaechi as governor to continue the program, which led to the admission of its first group of medical students in 2018.

On Thursday, February 6, Amaechi presented the award to Wike and praised his efforts to complete the university program.

The management of the college awarded Amaechi during the period when it awarded its first group of graduates to the Nigerian Council of Medicine and Dental (MDCN).

Dr. Fatima Kyari, acting registrant and MDCN CEO of the agency, expressed his gratitude to Amaechi for launching the medical school project. She noted that the induction ceremony marked the beginning of a new journey for graduates and expressed her support for the health department’s renewal initiative.
