The American University of Beirut (AUB) has partnered with the Mastercard Foundation to offer full scholarships to international students for the 2023-2024 academic year. The program provides full scholarships to graduate and undergraduate students who are academically promising, have limited financial means, are sensitive to community issues, are proactive about the environment, and believe in their ability to make a difference.
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program Scholarship at the American University of Beirut is open to international students to pursue graduate degree programs in Lebanon. The American University of Beirut (AUB), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, offers fully funded graduate education scholarships.
AUB’s Mastercard Foundation Scholars program aims to prepare young people in their communities, countries and regions to become agents of change. In addition to degree courses, the program requires scholars to participate in a series of workshops, courses and field work.

The program provides full scholarships to graduate and undergraduate students who are academically promising, have limited financial means, are sensitive to community issues, are proactive about the environment, and believe in their ability to make a difference.
AUB Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the AUB Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, the following should be considered:
- Required language: English
- Eligible countries: Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, Djibouti, Mauritania, Comoros and other African countries.
- Postgraduate scholarships are open to nationals of Africa, Lebanon and refugees and displaced persons living in Lebanon.

Selection and admission are based on: academic promise, financial disadvantage, leadership potential, and desire to give back to the community.
- Official college transcripts – all levels.
- Graduate Application (Apply Online).
- 2 letters of recommendation.
- IELTS or TOEFL scores are required.
- MBA programs require GMAT scores. Some majors in the College of Arts and Sciences require GRE.
- Application fee ($50 or LL75,000).
