Former Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State accepted a senator for Ogun West, the representative of the project transfer project.
Amosun revealed that the board of directors of Adeola’s library project promoted in Abeokuta was marked as “Renovation and Other Facilities of the Ake Pavilion roof, Ogun State, Ogun State,” a project promoted by the former state government.
He believes this shows that federal grants have a budget for the Ake Pavilion project, which is moving to a completely different project.
On Monday, Amosun issued a statement through his media aide Lanre Akinwale, saying the project had nothing to do with the ongoing construction of his “single-handed” Ake Pavilion project.
The statement reads:We note the library construction project expanded by Abeokuta Ewang Estate promoted by Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.
“However, the inscription of the project committee established at the library project site is different, marked ‘Ake Pavilion roof and other facilities, renovation of Ogun State’.
“It simply means that federal grants have budgets for the Ake Pavilion project, which is transferred to a completely different project. Otherwise, how would the host of the library project portray the narrative, completely different from the narrative he promoted?”
He said, “To avoid doubt, there is only one Ake Pavilion project, located in Ake Palace Ground in Abeokuta. The project was conceptualized and designed as a tourist attraction center by Senator Ibikunle Amosun in 2019. The actual construction of the multi-function Ake Pavilion began in 2020, and the project never served as Ogun Central Centration Projects (2019-2023-20223).
“The Ake Pavilion project has been 95% completed, which contains an impressive 3,000-capacity amphitheater with an open performance area of approximately 3,000 square meters, 3 NOS banquet halls, a variety of capabilities ranging from 100 to 500, a museum area that displays a quarter of the blocks (each part) of the museum area, while the experiences of these blocks (each quarter) are the experiences of other blocks. The facilities, all funded by Senator Ibikunle Amosun through his personal resources.
“While Senator Amoso welcomes federally funded projects to Ogun State, it is necessary to ensure that such projects are in good faith and do not distort the facts. We recommend that Senator Ogun State provide accurate information to Ogun State, especially Abeokuta, and especially Abeokuta, involving the distant distance of the library.
However, in a quick response, Senator Ogun West denied allegations of project transfer.
Adeola’s spokesperson, Fascinatedexplain, “There is no transfer of the project based on the inscriptions on the road signs for completed library projects. ”
He explained:As stated by Senator Amosun, the inscription for the project is a renovation of the roof and other facilities of the Akka Pavilion, Ogun State. “For those who are not familiar with budget terms, speech and other facilities, Ogun State” shows that the project is not limited to Ake Pavilion. Indeed, it may include the construction of Ogun State roads, schools, libraries, etc. determined by the implementation agencies and promoters in the budget based on the availability of funds. ”
Odunaro acknowledged that the budgeted Ake Pavilion’s renovation budget is still under construction.
