
Agents from the Ogun National Security Network Agency (otherwise known as Amotekun Corps) raided a brothel in the IFO local government area of the state and arrested 16 S3X workers.
The girls, aged 12 to 29, were arrested on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 along the railway line hotel along the IFO’s Old Bank Road.
They were identified as Annabelle Udo, Ubong Joy, Edaefe Sharon, Godwin Bassey, Okon Lovett, Eden Miracle, Monday Angel, Marvelous Samuel, Edet Nice and Asukwo Gifts.
Others include Effiong Joy, Effiong Blessing, Asukwo Faith, British Savior, Andrew Ella and Eden Joy.
In front of reporters at the headquarters of the command headquarters of the Legion Commander Alade Adedigba Commander Alade Adedigba Commander Abeokuta, the attack was in Zhou Saturday after receiving the intelligence report, Wednesday at 6:15 a.m.
The commander revealed that 14 of the girls were trafficked from Akwa Ibom, while the others were from Cross River and Delta states.
“We received the intelligence report on the 8th of this month, and based on this, we have been dealing with intelligence. At 6:15 am today, we were able to arrest 16 of them, ranging from 12 to 29 years old,” Adedigba said.
“They were all at the railway line hotel at the old bank bus stop in the town of Iphie, and the main suspect was Mrs. Eden Joey. Her boss was a Mrs. Yemissie in the hotel.
During the interrogation, the girls admitted that when they were brought to the Ifo from various locations, they were sworn in swearing when they were naked and part of their hair was cut for ceremony, which is why they felt unable to escape.
Adedigba said N819,600, various types of drugs, condoms, energy enhancers and tissue packaging, etc. were recycled.
The suspect also revealed that the tissue paper used by his clients was collected and preserved by the boss.
“These victims also inform us that most of the tissue paper that customers usually use is used for traffickers for other purposes,” Adedigba said.
“So, for those patronized by people like this, you need to be very careful about your own safety and security.”
While lamenting that the suspect is a young man, he should go to school and instead be locked in a hidden place for financial gain, he warned that the state will not tolerate any form of violation of law, interdisciplinary or any potential threat to security Any form.
He added that the girls will be transferred to state agencies to ban further investigations in human trafficking in NAPTIP.
One of the girls was accepting reporters that she had up to 10 people sleeping in a day.
She further revealed that they handed over everything they did to the ladies and they bought food for them only.
