Anambra State Police Department has launched an operational plan to re-arrest two suspects suspected of murdering Justice Azuka, a member of the Anambra State Capitol.

Ikenga said police chief Ikioye Oricutuguwas told on February 18 that the two suspects were involved in the killing of Onitsha 1 constituency councillors.
In response, the Commissioner deployed human, operational and intelligence resources to track and re-arrest them.
“Preliminary information shows that after the criminal gang pleaded guilty, two suspects assisted police investigators in arresting the recipient and recovering the operating vehicle used in their activities, escaped,” Ikenga said.
During the police operation, the recipient of the cargo suspected of being stolen and found two vehicles suspected of being stolen from the public. However, two other suspects managed to escape the scene.
Ikenga assured that the police remain committed to combating crime in the state, stressing that all efforts are being strengthened to regain fugitive suspects and ensure justice is being served.
In addition, he confirmed that officials would face disciplinary measures when they found negligence in the case.
