An angry mob is following K on the Umaru Musa Yar’adua highway in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)!
According to the gathering, the incident occurred around 3 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2025, when the suspect was operating in a commercial vehicle and was accused of robbing a woman who traveled to the city from the Gosa area.
Witnesses alleged that the suspect drove her out of the vehicle after depriving her of her property.
“The vehicle behind them almost knocked down the woman, but thank God, the driver managed to stop in time.”
“The same driver then began to hunt down the robbers while tweeting to remind other road users.”
“As the pursuit continues, more motorists and bystanders join in. When another motorist tries to turn around to Gosa, their escape attempt ends at ACO Estate Junction.”
The suspects immediately abandoned their vehicles and tried to escape on foot, but more and more mobs quickly overwhelmed them.
According to witnesses, one of the suspects was first stopped and severely beaten before being shot.
Meanwhile, the second suspect was thrown into a gutter on the side of the road, where he remained motionless, leading many to think he was D3AD.
However, after careful inspection, witnesses who have been videotaping the incident realized that the suspect was still alive.
“I got closer and saw him just sitting in the gutter. I started recording again and people asked him questions,” the witness said.
“They asked for his name, but he refused to say. Ogun State said when they asked where he was from. They also asked if he was Yoruba and he confirmed.”
“Although the interrogation continued, the mob members who initially thought he was dead began to gather again. Within a moment, the aggression resumed.
“They started to come back alone. Then they poured fuel at him, intending to catch fire like they were on another.”
The suspect tried to escape. He wandered through the drainage, running toward the nearby church, the foundation of the assembly of truth (Fota) may be seeking refuge.
“He was weak because they had beaten him before. When he approached the church, someone shouted that they shouldn’t be there K! So they dragged him from the church’s premises to another property nearby.”
The mob continued their attacks, stroking him with stones until he d! ed.
The mob set the burning of vehicles allegedly used to commit crimes.
