The alleged cult staff, who had been another fresh graduate of the Niger Delta University (NDU), was identified as the precious briggs of Abina in Bayersa State.
Briggs shot D3AD on Monday night, May 13 at the university’s host community Amassoma.
The deceased reportedly had just completed his final exam and was awaiting defense of his project, reportedly a target of a rival cult.
A community source told the Daily Trust that the victim was taken to a nearby hospital but was denied treatment due to procedures restricting around gunshot wounds. He ended up in trouble with excessive blood loss.
In the past two weeks alone, at least ten people have been in the ongoing conflict between rival cult groups.
Just four days ago, in similar circumstances, two NDU graduates awaited their National Youth Service (NYSC) call.
