The Nigerian army, in collaboration with other security agencies, rescued six people from alleged kidnappers in Talaba State, including senior officials from the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Sources told Zagazola Makama that after receiving a rescue call from a young leader, Abe Samuel, around 11:40 pm on April 27, 2025, he reported that a Toyota Hilux vehicle was attacked on Wukari – Kente Road.
The troops responded quickly and deployed to the area, where abandoned vehicles with registration number FG 117-B03 and pierced tires were found, but the crew disappeared.
A joint search and rescue operation was launched immediately, and by 6:00 a.m. on April 28, the troops successfully rescued the NDLEA area 1, Ibadan, Musa Hudu and five other victims, and rescued the deputy commander from nearby bushes.
The victims were not injured, and preliminary investigations revealed that they fled into the bush after three armed men attacked their vehicles and fired at them with Danes guns.
The victims were safely escorted out of the area and allowed to move forward after repairing the vehicle.
