Aspiring person in the position of Chairman of the Ijede Local Council Development Zone, Anamade, under the banner of the All-Party Progress Conference, was transferred to D3ATH on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
His upset brother Oluwafemi Inamade manages to talk to Punch and laments that the attackers have been delaying the dead before the unfortunate day.
According to Femi, the attackers were wearing black costumes and no one saw their faces.
Femi, who once survived a similar attack with his brother, said the gunman used a machete on the deceased when the bullets fired from the gun did not penetrate his body.
“It happened around 9pm on Saturday. They were two gunmen. They were wearing black costumes and no one could recognize them. His assistant said he couldn’t wait when he heard the gunshots. They shot him and chopped him in front of his house. It happened in his house in Ijede, Onamade Street, Oluwatosin. The street was named after him.
“They fired him. When the bullets didn’t penetrate in time, they used machetes on their heads and faces,” he said.
Femi suspects that his brother’s D3ATH is related to his political ambitions.
“They know he has a huge player and a lot of followers,” he added.
He explained that he attacked his brother in 2021.
“The attack was carried out in 2021, with some culprits still in prison, but no verdict has been made.”
In a 2021 publication interview, the deceased recounts his traumatic encounter with the so-called political assassin, who killed one of his staff.
He said the incident occurred on April 16, 2021.
“The day the incident happened was Friday, April 16, 2021. But on that day (April 11), someone called me (phone) and said they were about to destroy the APC leadership meeting that was usually held in my home. I said, “Who? “The person told me that it was the “top” sponsored by the LGA leader, and I said, “No problem.” If so, I have to hire some military personnel and other security personnel to secure the entrance to my home,” the deceased narrated.
“That day, when they (the attackers) were unable to enter my yard, they continued to destroy all the (election) banners I placed in the community. They went to the party secretariat of Ijede LCDA and maliciously destroyed the big box banners I had set up in that place.
“They were one of my staff members, Mr. Ifiyani Godfrey, who was also an executive member of my campaign committee. They slaughtered him, shot his head, threw his body into an empty coffin where he worked in the funeral home.
“I was behind (of the building). A famous gang member shot me, but I avoided myself. They shouted, “This guy escaped again.” We will find him and then him. Too savage. This is something I can never imagine. ” said the deceased.
“My brother Oluwafemi was in the second office and he resisted their attempts and they left. After they left, I came out to check for the damage. I started calling the police but no police showed up, even though they were not far from where I was.
“Then the thugs came back and they immediately saw me and they said, ‘So, he’s in there.’ Then, they forced them into. In the process, they started invading my brother with a machete. They even wanted to cut off his hand.”
When contacted Monday, his friend asked not to name the sensitivities of the situation, and he said the attacker who tried to kill his friend finally succeeded.
He simply said: “They finally brought him out,” and he called on the authorities to ensure justice.
He said Inamade was a strong contender in the competition for president of the council.
“He is a strong contender. Such a situation is rampant in Ijede and calls on authorities to receive serious attention.
State Police Command spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin said the commander was aware of the incident and was investigating it.
“The investigation has begun the incident,” Handin said.
