
Atalanta supporters reportedly clashed with Inter Milan fans and were ST@BED@th.
The conflict occurred between two groups of fans in Bergamo on Saturday night, Reuters reported.
The head of Carmelo Beringheli’s Carabinieri office in Bergamo confirmed the incident to Reuters, saying the fight began after a provocative shout of a supporter.
After the group clashed at the bar, violence escalated to the street near Atlanta Stadium, and Atlanta fans were stabbed.
A teenage suspect was arrested and said he had taken action to protect his brother, and police found a knife approaching the deceased.
Although emergency services were soon attended to the victims, they could not save him.
Atlanta fans paid tribute to 26-year-old Riccardo Claris on Sunday.
Atalanta supporters unfolded a banner that read: “Clarice is everywhere.”
After the game, Atlanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini said: “What happened to our fans must never happen again.”
