Nine agents from the Zamfara State Community Protection Guard (CPC) were kidnapped in the burial of bandits in the Zamfara State ANKA local government area!
These agents are said to have been returned by a successful joint operation by the Nigerian army, which led to the D3ATH of several bandits.
The bandits ambushed in the forest on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
Asp Yazid Abubakar, a spokesman for the Zamfara Police Department, confirmed the attack, saying the body of the guards had been recovered and ready to be buried this morning.
However, Abubakar declined further comments on the incident.
“The police were not in the operation. You can only get detailed information about the incident from the army leading the operation
“But I briefed my death, and our district commander and the department officers in charge of Anka are currently in the area, attending the funeral of the deceased who was taking place this morning,” he said.
It is worth recalling that there were 12 Zamfara community defenders and alert people during the bandits and gun showdown in the Bukuyum local government area of the state on March 5, 2025.
