The suspected bandits have K! Despite the ransom payment, three kidnapped residents were still in the Kusheka and Kabene communities in the Karu local government area of Kaduna State.
The Sulu Community Development Association condemned Klling, who was three residents, calling the incident tragic and disturbing.
Caleb Magaji, the association’s national public relations official, lamented the deteriorating security situation in the region in a statement obtained on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
Magaji said the victim was kidnapped on March 22, 2025 while conducting daily activities. Despite the huge ransom payment, the military found their bodies in the forest during a search operation on the evening of March 24.
The deceased was identified as Obadiah Dangana, Emmanuel Moses, commonly known as Bobbling Guy and Danjuma Sardauna, both Kabene Communities from Kusheka and Kumana Chief
“This tragic incident is not isolated. Our land continues to be subject to repeated attacks along with other communities in Kumana and Kuru local government. Many of us are still imprisoned in the forest even after a huge ransom was paid in ransom,” the statement reads.
“We call on governments and security agencies at all levels to strengthen their efforts to restore peace to our land by enabling justice to perpetrators and ensuring the release of those who are still captured. ”
The association acknowledged government intervention, especially recently establishing a forward-looking work basis in Kaulu. However, it urged authorities to deploy military checkpoints in Kusheka, Kabene and Geshere to improve security and ensure rapid response to attacks
“The frequent attacks on many communities, especially in Kumana, are deeply concerned at all levels of the government and require a stronger commitment,” the statement added.
“We remain committed to advocating peace, security and justice for our people. We urge all members of the community to remain vigilant and work with security agencies to return to normalcy.”
