New York banker who disappeared while on vacation in Spain has been spotted @d.
Grant Barr, 37, reportedly disappeared when he visited Estepona in southern Spain with friends and family on January 28.
According to Mail Online, Barr’s shower gel was washed off on the beach on March 3.
Barr’s family struggled to find him until they learned a few days ago that his body had been found.
Barr’s brother James talked to the Spanish eyes and said police had to use DNA to identify the remains of bankers, which are now back in the United States.
“After a week and a week back and forth between the court and the coroner’s office, his body was released Friday and we were able to cremate him and finally take him home,” James said.
“While the worst-case thoughts come to mind from time to time, none of us actually think that this will end up being the result. ”
James said his brother might have drowned, but he didn’t know where he found his body.
James Barr was frustrated, and officials did not mention the remains found in March.
“That means he’s been discovering it for two weeks last time we searched there, but they didn’t even hint that they were looking for something,” James said.
Barr reportedly sailed to Spain after his breakup.
His father, Michael Barr, had previously said he disappeared, he was in an emotional state, possibly suffering from paranoia and struggling in reality.
A few days after his disappearance, Barr’s pants and passport were found near the beach in the resort town.
The discovery sparked massive searches and social media campaigns that begged for help, but they had no results.
Barr’s other brother, Luke, also shared a message after his death.
“Our brother faces the sea with his grand beauty and terrible attitude by doing what he likes.”
Michelle, Barr’s father, said: “As a father, my world will never be the same. The same is true for all who know and love him. I ask God to be filled with courage and the power of love in my heart. I thank all who know and love him for the prayers and kind thoughts of all who know and love him.
