Local police say Belgium’s three bar managers are one of five men who have been arrested for investigations into R@PE and S£Xual Ass@Ult.
Prosecutors said the suspect was associated with drinks from at least 41 female victims from December 2021 to December 2024.
The three suspects had a peak at the northwestern city of Kortrijk. Investigators said they believe they discussed the attack with each other.
A total of five men were arrested for investigations on Wednesday and Thursday, the Western Flanders Attorney’s Office said.
Prosecutors said two arrested men appeared before an investigative judge on Thursday.
The other two men are still questioned by detectives, and the fifth person is released after an interview.
The prosecutor’s office said the individuals were suspected of rape, sexual assault and illegal management of harmful substances.
Officials believe the medication is mixed into female drinks, including ketamine, a general anesthesia used for recreational purposes due to its hallucination effects.
Tom Janssens, another spokesman for the attorney’s office, told Flemishi Public Television VRT.
