Bayern Munich’s German giant will be reportedly ridding of contract negotiations with Thomas Muller.
German teams will resume their title as league champions after the end of the season.
However, Mueller played a role in their success, having only eight starts in the league of the Bavarian team – with only one score.
As a result, German reports said Bayern was willing to leave Mueller’s contract renewal talks – the current deal is scheduled to run out in June.
Sky Sports Derman claims that given Muller’s high salary, it’s almost no benefit to get him on the team while looking for a future.
Export claims Mueller earns £14.2 million (€17 million) per season, making him one of the club’s highest incomes.
Meanwhile, Uli Hoeness recently sent a stern message to the veterans and advised Muller to eventually leave the club.
According to the media, he said: “If he is just a replacement, I recommend him retire.”
The media further claimed that Mueller’s “fitness, enthusiasm and importance” would not cause controversy, but his playing time does not guarantee the lucrative deals he made.
Mueller has been in Bayern Munich since 2000, when he joined the club’s youth system at the age of 10 before making his debut in August 2008.
