Reality TV star Alex is apart, which has attracted the attention of the Lagos state government’s recent arrest of homeless people across the city.
In an Instagram story, Alex expressed confusion and attention to policy, asking:
“Can anyone teach me why Lagos State arrest homeless people?”
The former Bbnaija roommate did not back down and shared that the news had ruined her day:
“What is a crime? No house?”
She noted that the irony was that arresting people just had nowhere to stay, while other people with houses were still causing environmental chaos through public places where litter was thrown.
“Even people with houses will litter in the environment. I see people throwing things from cars.”
She ends with a distinct question:
“Why are homeless people sleeping around the corner?”
Her posts have since sparked discussions online, with many Nigerians responding to her emotions and questioning the artificial cost of this law enforcement politics.
