
A farmer identified as Abideen Olabiyi was reportedly kidnapped by a swarm of bees on his farm in Alalade compound in Osun State!
The other two suffered serious injuries on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Olobe Farm in Igbajo, the local government area of Boluwa, the state.
The Otan Ayegbaju Police Department confirmed the incident in a statement Saturday.
According to police, the injured were identified as Mr. Solomon Kingsley and Chief Olusegun Alalade, who, like the dead, were residents of the Alalad compound.
Police reported that the body of the deceased had been stored in the health paradise morgue in ikirun for autopsy.
The report reads in part: “Today Friday 18 at about 1645 HRS there was a complaint from one Babasanjo Alalade of Alalade compound Ada Osun State. He stated that today three of his brothers went to farm one Abideen Olabiyi, Mr Solomon Kingsley and Chief Olusegun Alalade all of Alalade compound Ada went to the farm in Olobe Farm Igbajo.
“After arriving at the farm, they were attacked by a bunch of bees, so Mr. Abideen Olabiyi lost his life while two other victims managed to escape their detectives, my detective visited the scene photos, removed the regiment and stored in Healthy Paradise Mortuary Ikirun, while the other two victims were taken to an unknown hospital in the state.”
