Presiding Bishop David Oyedepo of the Global Living Faith Church, also known as the Victory Church, says he will not enter politics regardless of financial incentives.
Oyedepo delivered a speech at the church’s fifth annual gathering of the day, the “Shiloh 2025” impartation ceremony, which was held at the Faith Tabernacle in Ota Canaan Land, Ogun State.
“In 2015, I warned the church that trouble was coming. Didn’t trouble come?” he said.
“If you gave me a billion dollars, I wouldn’t even get into politics. That’s not my calling. Those who are not called there will lose their dignity and respect. They will lose everything.”
The cleric urged church members to remain focused on their divine mission, emphasizing that fulfillment and impact come from operating within one’s calling.
According to him, only in the realm of their divine purpose can believers rule their world and be included in what he describes as God’s eschatological army.
Oyedepo also spoke of the urgency of the times, saying the world was in dire need of divine intervention.
“The world groans in darkness, but as Romans 8:19 says, the world is waiting for the eager manifestation of God’s children,” he said.
“The armies of God are about to emerge, at the command of Joseph and Daniel, to provide solutions to the national crisis. These are the days that eyes have not seen and ears have not heard.”
Shiloh 2025 begins on December 9 and will end on December 14, where believers gather for spiritual teaching, teaching, and fellowship.
