Rapper Emeka Akumefule popularly known as Blaqbonez has reacted to allegations that he harassed a woman after she rejected his advances.
In a post shared via his Instagram Story, the rapper denied the claims.
The accusation comes from the woman’s law firm, Bristol & Mortglass CS, which claims its client suffered emotional distress and online harassment after rejecting Blaqbonez in December 2024.
The rapper responded: “Over the past few days, a number of false and deeply distressing allegations have been circulating online about me. Not only are these accusations untrue, they are part of months of ongoing harassment and intimidation that I have suffered from certain individuals in the music industry.
“For nearly a year, I have remained silent and suffered repeated bullying, physical attacks and online attacks, believing that the truth will speak. One day, silence will allow lies to spread unchecked. So I say now: I did nothing wrong.”
“At the heart of these stories is a personal relationship from my past that ended respectfully and without conflict. This personal chapter has now become entangled with professional competition in the music industry.
“What started as a personal matter between two adults was drawn into a wider feud, reshaped and used as ammunition in a public campaign to smear me. The allegations made were deliberately fabricated and designed to damage my reputation, my work and everything I have built.
“They have caused pain to my family, my team and those who support me. It is so frustrating to see people using lies to gain attention and revenge.”
“I am cooperating fully with the authorities to ensure that the truth is established once and for all. I have nothing to hide and I welcome transparency. I have also taken steps through my legal team to protect myself from the harassment and defamation I have suffered over the past year,” he added.
“I have always strived to be honest and confident in my art. That will not change. The truth will eventually come out, and when it does, I hope this moment reminds everyone that false accusations destroy real lives and that bullying, whether physical, digital or psychological, must not be tolerated.
“I will not let personal grudges or online animosity define who I am or distract me from my goals. The truth is not afraid of the light and that is where I stand. Thank you to everyone who has reached out. My focus remains on my music, my peace and clearing my name.”
