A Nigerian woman who tearfully begged for a job on social media has finally found one.

The woman, named Korede (@koredudu on TikTok), was offered a job by Blord Group after her emotional appeal went viral.

In this viral TikTok video, Korede issued a heartfelt plea to Nigerians, asking for their help in sharing her videos so that she can find a job. Visibly emotional, she spoke of being at her breaking point and struggling to survive.

“I have a confession to make. I think I’m reaching a breaking point… Please, the energy people put into going viral, please put the same energy into posting my videos. I need a job,” she said.

The clip quickly gained traction, with many users sharing it and tagging influencers.

A few days later, Nigerian businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, responded to the viral request and announced that he would offer Korede the opportunity to work at his company.

Blord confirmed her employment status in a post shared on his Instagram page on January 22, 2025. He revealed that Korede has been appointed Head of Blunt Gadgets in the company’s Lagos office.

“BLORDGROUP welcomes Korede to our headquarters. I have fulfilled my promise to have her serve as Blunt Weapons Director of our Lagos office,” he wrote.

In a video shared with the announcement, Broad introduced Korede and recounted her journey from unemployment to landing the position. Korede also expressed his gratitude, saying the experience was unexpected and thanked Blord Group for the opportunity.

Broad added that the company is looking forward to seeing how she performs as she prepares to resume work in the Lagos office.
