Boko Haram Attacks Borno Community, K!

The suspicious Boko Haram insurgents have launched an attack on the recently relocated Yamtake community in the Gwoza local government area of Borno State, K! linging two soldiers and several civilians.

According to Punch, security and local sources confirmed the attack, saying the attackers invaded the community around 11:15 pm on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

A military source said the attackers attacked Shanta military formation before the reinforcement team sent from Gevosa, causing damage.

“We are waiting for the reinforcement team to return, but we learn that two of our people and other civilians have been affected. I suggest we wait until they return,” he said.

Meanwhile, Senator Ali Ndume, who confirmed the incident, said he had kept in touch with the people of Shanta Community.

“Unfortunately, the people of Yamtake Village were invaded by the deadly Boko Haram last night (Thursday). This is one of the communities that have recently received their IDP, relocated by the Borno State Government.”

“It is regrettable that the two soldiers paid the highest price, and the innocent civilian population is the casualties. May their gentle souls rest in peace.

“But let me also praise Nasir Abdullahi

“I’m reliably informed that after the towers caused severe damage, the attackers tried to infiltrate the town of Gwoza, but the troops played a brave role in repelling the attack. Sometimes, troops ambushed in and around Gwoza, which helped to stop the terrorist efforts to make Gwoza Gwoza People Depoy in the Counce never the Counce the Counce evernalters ersecememequarters.

“In the past month, several communities in southern, northern and central Senate have witnessed deadly Boko Haram attacks without confrontation. The situation is worrying.

“So let me take this opportunity to advocate for the establishment of armed community defense to complement the military’s efforts. This is because the Joint Civilian Task Force (CJTF), hunters and alert people have been doing their best, but they have only restrictions because they only carry guns and they find it difficult to encounter terrorists.

“More importantly, I would like to reiterate my call to the federal government and the Nigerian army to deploy technology, equipment, weapons and ammunition, motivation (TEAAM), the only way to end Boko Haram for a decade.
