The Brazilian Football Association terminated Dorival Júnior’s contract on Friday, March 28, 2025 after they defeated Argentina 4-1 in the World Cup qualifiers in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, March 25, 2025.
The 62-year-old was appointed as the Brazilian Football Association in January 2024, unable to lure Italy’s Carlo Ancelotti from Real Madrid. But he was fired after a series of bad results in Brazil, and the game against Argentina broke the camel’s back against Arc rival Argentina.
The statement is read as follows;
