This is INEC, Friday, presenting reports on demarcation of wards and voting units in constituencies of Uhobo, Isekir and Iya ethnic groups.
Sir Etekamba Udo Umoren, INEC State Resident Election Commissioner, presented the report to community representatives at a stakeholder meeting, presenting the report of the Supreme Court on the implementation of the site work and ordering the demarcation of the Federal Constitutional Commission of Warri in the state capital Asaba.
The report represents the Urhobo, Itsekiri and Ijaw ethnic ethnic groups, respectively, and was received by Victor Okugba, Dr. Andrew Igban and Dr. Joebisina.
Speaking at the meeting, INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu said the event was the fifth engagement meeting with stakeholders since the Supreme Court decision on December 2, 2022, which required the committee to conduct wards and voting units in three local government areas in the federal building blocks.
Professor Rhoda Gumus, representative of the State Commissioner of the INEC’s state overseeing the Cross River and Edo countries, said Yakubu, said the presence of stakeholders demonstrated their commitment to the principles of democracy and believed that INEC was a just empire.

“We remember that during the last participatory meeting in the Federal Constituency Warri on July 8, 2024, we had all the discussions with stakeholders and promised to start the on-site work of the ward in the above constituency, the committee conducted the event, which took place between July 10 and 27, 2024.
“On the other hand, the entire people of the Federal Constituency of Warrie have played their role,” said the INEC president.
He expressed his gratitude to the governor of the Delta State for providing a favorable environment for the exercise. ”
In his speech, INEC’s state resident election commissioner Etekamba Udo Umoren called the incident important “because it expresses the unity of all determination, resilience and purpose of all to transcend the Supreme Court decision of December 2, 2022 and to transcend the Supreme Court decision of December 2, 2022.

“The third stakeholder meeting was held on July 8, 2024 at Warri South LGA, the headquarters of the Warri South LGA.
According to the new description, the wards in three local government areas in the Worry Federal Constituency are allocated as follows;
