Catholic Bishop Lucius Ugorji blows up the President’s Tinubu government due to recurring insecurity issues in Nigeria.
Nigeria News Nalin It is reported that CBCN, president of the Nigerian Catholic Bishops’ Conference, most pastor Lucius Ugorji, has raised the siege that Nigeria is currently under siege due to repeated insecurities in the country.
Ugorji said the ongoing kidnapping of innocent citizens by criminals and the horrible killing of innocent citizens clearly illustrates it all.
The pastor illustrates this in his Easter message in Oweri, the capital of the IMO state.
“We celebrate Easter this year in an atmosphere of breathing pessimism and despair. The unconscious massacre of innocent citizens by criminal gangs as the wave of kidnapping of ransoms continues to increase, and the general insecurity of life and property has increased,” Ugorji said.
“We seem to be a besieged country. No place seems to be safe: our houses, business places, highways, and even sacred areas of places of worship.
He added: “The government lacks the rising political will to address crime across the country and is pushing people to resort to self-help to defend their lives and their livelihoods.”
This is due to the ruthless murders of armed bandits and criminal gangs in Benue and the Plateau states.
Recall that the governor of Benue State Hyacinth Alia has confirmed that 55 people have killed 55 people in the state in the logo and Ukum local government area.
Similarly, Plateau Governor Caleb Mutfwang called on residents of Zilkke Village in the Barcelona local government area to remain vigilant and defend themselves amid repeated attacks by suspected criminals in the state.
Recently, a brutal attack on Zilkke village was carried out in the local government area of the plateau Barcelona, with gunmen killing more than 50 people, including women and children, and more than 40 houses were scattered.
