Police said a lover ikechukwu was found by an underwater search team after disappearing in Kuwick Country Park last Wednesday.

Nottinghamshire police said emergency services were summoned to Kuwick Country Park when the boy disappeared at 17:20 BST.

Police’s underwater search team and fire department also responded, finding the boy’s body before 20:00.

A tribute to the 16-year-old Nottingham College student.

His family said in a statement: “Valentin will remain in our hearts forever. He is a well-known son and brother and we are absolutely shocked by our family.

His family added: “Eternal Valentine’s Day, always 16.”

“The words cannot describe what we are experiencing now.”

The lover’s family said he was well loved among his friends and they said they were trying to accept his death.

They added: “He will be missed forever.”

The college confirmed that Valentine, a business major, left earlier this year, expressing a deep shock at his D3ATH.

A university spokesperson added: “Our idea is to be with family during these incredibly difficult times.

“He is a popular student at the same time as us and we have provided full well-being support to his former classmates who will be frustrated with hearing the news.”

Police said the teenager’s D3ath was not considered suspicious and was preparing for the coroner.

“It was a tragedy, a young boy died,” said Det Insp gail Routledge of Nottinghamshire Police Department.

“Our ideas are in touch with our lover’s family and friends during this extremely difficult time.

“While work continues to understand the difficulties of Valentine’s Day, I want to take this opportunity to highlight the devastating consequences of entering open water – whether people do it intentionally or unintentionally.”
