Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes was awarded Premier League Player of the Year in March, while Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo received management honors for the same month.
Despite being cut short by an international break, it turned out to be a success for Manchester United, who remained unbeaten in two Premier League matches against Arsenal and Leicester City.
Fernandes played a crucial role in contributing to all four goals Manchester United scored in these matches. He scored twice and received two assists, bringing the Premier League career assists to an impressive 50.
The achievement marks Fernandes’ fifth month award, adding him to the legendary number in league history. Now he shares third place in the most awards with prominent players like Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie.
Leading all-time rosters are Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and Mohamed Salah, each with seven awards, while Steven Gerrard and Cristiano Ronaldo are behind.
On the management side, Nuno Espirito Santo won his third Premier League Manager Award this season, further highlighting his impressive leadership at Nottingham Forest.
Under his guidance, the team made a huge effort to potential Champions League qualifiers, which was celebrated in a 1-0 victory over Manchester City, followed by a decisive victory over the relegation threat town of Ipswich.
With this latest recognition, Nuno has won a total of seven manager awards for the month in his career and is ranked sixth in the all-time rankings along with Mikel Arteta and Rafa Benitez.
Only a handful of managers, including Arteta (2022/23), Pep Guardiola (2017/18) and Jurgen Klopp (2019/20), have won awards four times in a single season and have won five Klopp recordings.
