The dispute between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj resurfaced on Wednesday, October 1, rekindled their long history of competition. The initial vague review of album sales quickly escalated into a fierce online confrontation.
According to complexity and E! News, Nicki Minaj has attracted her criticism in Cardi’s new project, am I a drama? She allegedly mocked the album’s performance and suggested that its sales figures were exaggerated. Although her post was later deleted, they triggered a strong reaction.
Cardi B responds positively on X, brand Minaj “boring [expletive]” and added: “You must miss me, are you crazy? Now kiss my feet. ”
In another post, Cardi further questioned why Nicki continued to quote her:
“You’ve been in the race like you did in 16 years. You need to compare yourself to your peers… Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Drake. These are the numbers needed for competitive wit, and can’t be lower than all of them.”
The screenshot also radiates lyrics from Minaj’s mocking Cardi, getting pregnant, and even suggesting she had undergone surgery similar to her. One of the sarcastic readings:
“The fall off rankings, witty big belly/running train…bare feet, still smelly.”
As the online controversy escalates, both women reportedly bring each other’s families into the argument.
Cardi looks forward to her fourth child with her boyfriend Stefon Diggs, who said she won’t endanger her career by trading indefinitely insults. Instead, she urged Minaj to seek recovery:
“You need help! You need to heal this trauma… Every time you see them happy, you always come to people because you have so much trauma and pain that you want to wear someone else.”
However, Nicky appears to have escalated further, allegedly calling on her fans to boycott the company associated with Cardi. She wrote:
“We will boycott every company that is related to her. Just like our bets…every company makes her sickening words…you have 3 days of contact. That’s it.”
The hatred between the two can be traced back to their infamous New York Fashion Week dispute in 2018, when Cardi was caught on Minaj’s camera. Six years later, there was no sign of relaxation in the tension between them.
