Former Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro is one of Manchester United’s most criticized players due to the poor form of the club in the past two seasons.
Instead, however, Casemiro marked one of the best times in his football career since Real Madrid on Manchester United. Speaking in an interview, the Brazilian confirmed that Old Trafford saw his best compared to the Spanish era.
He said
“Only, my best season as a footballer was the first to be with Manchester United. I’m not saying it on the title. Madrid’s UCL is the ultimate, but as a player, I think Old Trafford I saw the best version of Casemiro in my first year.”
Casemiro joined the Red Devils in August 2022, signing a four-year contract with the option to extend it for another year. The transfer agreement is worth £70 million, with initial payments to Real Madrid and £10 million in surcharge.
In his first season with Manchester United, he won the EFL Cup and scored a start in the finals to beat Newcastle United 2-0.
