
Katsina State Police Command has begun an investigation into Klling of the 400-class student at the Federal University, Dutsinma, Sa’idu Abdulkadir Amir, allegedly a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force.

CJTF officials reportedly shot and killed two people by mistake, believing they were informants of bandits.

Since the incident, students have been protesting violently, riding on the streets of Dutsinma, burning vehicles and destroying property.
The university’s management closed the institution on Monday after violent protests.
Command spokesman DSP Abubakar Sadiq confirmed the incident in a statement Monday.
“The Katsina Police Command has begun an investigation into the shooting involving members of the Civil Joint Task Force (JTF). The incident left Okada rider injured and injured in the death of a 400-grade student at Dutsinma, Federal University .
