FIFA announced that it will bring huge financial growth to the club and will participate in the first edition of the new 2025 Club World Cup.
Sky Sports chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol confirmed the news on his official X account on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. According to him, FIFA will announce a 1 billion prize for the clubs that will compete.
He said
“FIFA announced $1 billion in prize money for 32 teams participating in the club World Cup this summer. Good news for the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea, if they do well, their estimates are estimated at $100 million. There will also be a clear Solidarity Fund allocated to non-participating clubs. FIFA will retain zero from revenue.”
This financial compensation will mean that all will significantly improve the finances of all 32 clubs in the game.
The game will feature 32 teams, held every four years starting in the summer of 2025. This is an extension of a game that is held annually and involves only 7 teams from around the world.
