
Justice IA Uzakah of the High Court of Bayelsa State has issued an order to restrict federal capital territory (FCT) minister Nyesom Wike in order to hold large rally in the state, awaiting a hearing and confirmation of notice motions.
The proposed rally is scheduled to be held on April 12, 2025 for Yenagoa, the capital of Bielsa State.

The other defendants are Nigerian Police Force, Police Attorney General and Police Chief Bayelsa State Police Commander.

“An order of the interim injunction is hereby made or granted restraining the 1st and 2nd Defendants, whether by themselves, their agents, associates, privileges, representatives (or any person whatsoever acting at their best), from conducting, convening, coordinating, engaging in, organising, participating in, holding, hosting, or facilitating any political assembly, rally meeting, or gathering within Bayelsa State, for the purpose of Unity, presided over and celebrated the second defendant in the state of Bayelsa, before hearing and motion to determine the intermediate injunction.
Thereafter, the matter will be adjourned until April 11, 2025, and a hearing will be held.
