A district court in Kano sentenced two Tiktok users Ahmad Isa and Maryam Musa to one year in prison for sharing a disgusting video deemed to be a repulsive view of religious and moral values.
The Kano State Review Board earlier arrested the duo, accusing them of violating public decency through social media posts.
In court lawsuits, prosecutor Garzali Maigari Bichi accused the offender of criminal conspiracy and spread illegal content online.
Neither of them pleaded guilty when the charges were read to them.
Host Hadiza Muhammad Hassan also made the criminals choose a fine of N100,000 and urged them to maintain good behavior.
