Justice A. Aderigbigbe issued the ruling on Friday, February 21 in response to the admission order proposed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) against Osiec and its chairman Hashim Abioye. The court confirmed that, as previously determined by the Federal High Court, there were vacancies in all 30 local government areas of the state.
The court ruled that the elections held by OSIEC on October 15, 2022 were invalid, invalid and invalid. The court cited the rulings, upholding the PDP’s new election request and ordered Osiec to conduct a poll. It also directs security agencies, including the Nigerian Police, the Nigerian Army, the National Security Service (DSS), the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the Amotkun Force, the Amotkun Force, and local alert groups to ensure safety during and after the election.
