
The Rivers High Court sitting in Harcourt Harbour has taken four suspects to a correctional facility and the principal of the principal of M8rder.
Suspects Emmanuel Eke, Ogechi Ogbogu (commonly known as “United”), Charles Anayor (also known as “Biggie”) and Nelson Isaiah are facing three charges of conspiracy, kidnapping, kidnapping and M8rder.
They allegedly conspired to be kidnapped sometime in 2012, followed by Ubima community in the M8rder Eugene Ndubuisi Orlu Orlu (Rivers) state area of the Ubima community in the River State of Ikwerre.
Allegedly, the four defendants kidnapped the victims together with the others kidnapped, collecting a ransom of Naira, k! lith him, put his body in a sack and buried him in the forest between neighboring communities.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges when he read in court.
No bail application was filed, and Chairman Justice Augusta Kingsley-Chukwu ordered his remand at Port Harcourt Correctional Institution.
Justice Kingsley-Chukwu adjourned the case until May 20-27, 2025 to begin the accelerated hearing.
