    Court ruling man hanging in Kano

    The Kano State High Court hanged for burning down a living family and sentenced a Salisu Idris to D3ATH.

    Lib reports that Idris caught fire at Aminu Bala’s house, k! ling ling him, his wife Ruqayya and their 2-year-old daughter Aisha.

    Idris claims that Aminu Bala’s “business friend” recently promised him to burn him and his family to D3ath.

    In the verdict on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, Judge Amina Adamu-Aliyu ruled that the prosecution had proved that there was no doubt about its case.

    “I hereby sentence Idris to hang as a living hanged victim of burning,” she said.

    Earlier, prosecutor’s attorney Lamido Abba-Sorondinki told the court that Idris committed a crime at the Gayawa dormitory in Kano on September 25, 2019.

    Abba-Sorondinki said around the same date, Idris and Aliyu Abdullahi-Anas, who is now the entire Abdullahi-anas, went to the house of 50-year-old Aminu Bala and set fire to the fire, causing the man, his wife and a two-year-old child to d3ath.

    The prosecution made remorsements from two witnesses and Idris.

    However, the criminal denied committing the crime.

    The prosecutor said the crime violated Articles 85 and 221 of the Criminal Code.

    Defense attorney Mr. Mustafa Hussaini testified to Idris.
