
The Chief District Court of Ogun State, which sits in the IFO Local Government Area, has sentenced controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable to three months in prison and opt for N30,000 fine.
Portable charges were convicted of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. The musician was arrested in March 2023 after attacking police officers who tried to provide him with a warrant.
Police Prosecutor Olumide Awoleke had earlier informed the court that Habeeb Okikiola had committed crimes on Okeosa, Ilogbo, in the IFO Magisterial area, on November 18, 2022.

In his judgment, Chief Magistrate Justice Babajide Ilo ruled that the singer was charged with 1 and 2 counts. He sentenced the defendant to one month in prison and chose the 1st n10,000 fine and two months in prison, and fined 2 n20,000 fine.
