The Lagos Regional Bureau of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has been convicted of his three-month prison sentence for Hawking New Naira’s notes.

“You, around December 14, 2024, you, at the Villa Dome Activity Centre on Okotie-eboh Street, Ikoyi, Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this glorious court, issued a distribution of n800,000 (800,000) by the Bunister of Niger Bank, during which time you were sentenced (400 million) by Naira and sued Naira (400 million) in Niger Bank Act, 2007.”

After the prosecution attorney pleaded guilty, Si Suleiman made the defendant’s confession statement and the money recovered from him also urged the court to convict him.

Judge Faji made a verdict on March 19, 2025 and sentenced to three months in prison with a fine of N100,000.00.

The judge also ordered the N800,000 recovered from the criminals to be confiscated to the federal government of Nigeria.
