Davido publicly apologized and withdrawn his initial statement after his initial comments to the Orson State Police Department.

Afrobeats star Davido withdraws his early criticism of the Osan State Police Chief and now recognizes the efforts of security agencies to deal with the state’s recent crisis.

Earlier today, the singer strongly condemned the Commissioner, accusing him of failing to enforce the rule of law in the violent incidents that resulted in multiple casualties.

However, in a new statement on X, Davido acknowledged that once further reflection, the Commissioner did make a “real effort” to manage the situation.

He explained that his initial reaction was inspired by anger over the tragic and unnecessary life lost in the state.

The singer understands the complexity involved, acknowledging that security officials, including police commissioners, have been working tirelessly behind the scenes.

“Emotions have played a very high impact among my friends and me in honor of innocent lives. We didn’t know that the police commissioner has been working with other commanders. At the time, I was not fully grateful for his contribution. It was a serious matter. I now recognize and commend his dedication to upholding the rule of law and maintaining peace in Oxenia,” David said.

He further praised the Commissioner’s commitment and called on security agencies to strengthen their efforts to prevent further unrest, especially in local government elections on Saturday, 22 February 2025.

“In honor of those who have been killed or injured, I urge the Commissioners of the Police and other security agencies to strengthen their efforts in maintaining peace. The rule of law must prevail.” He added.

Davido stressed that ensuring a peaceful election process is a crucial achievement for politicians and security officials, including the Oxen State Police Chief.

His summary extends his greatest blessing to commissioners and other security commanders to address the state’s security challenges.
