- Davido hinted that his family might return to running their “billion-dollar company” if his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, loses in the upcoming Osun governorship election.
- The remarks were in response to online conversations that suggested Davido might compose a campaign song for the APC if Adeleke is defeated.
- The singer’s comments underscore the Adeleke family’s vast business interests outside of politics.

African music superstar Davido says his family may redirect their attention to big business ventures if his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, loses the upcoming Osun governorship election.
The comments came amid online discussions about Governor Adeleke’s political future following his recent defection to the Accord Party.
X user Lurvy speculated on the drama surrounding the governor, while another user Whemimor replied: “If you lose Davido, go write a song for APC during the 2027 campaign.”
Davido quoted Wemimo’s tweet and responded sharply, suggesting that the Adeleke family has vast wealth outside of politics:
“Or we can go back to our multi-billion dollar company…”
The singer’s comments reinforce the idea that the Adeleke family’s main source of wealth is rooted in their long-standing business ventures, providing a safety net regardless of political outcomes.
Meanwhile, Governor Adeleke recently emerged as the Accord Party’s gubernatorial candidate for the 2026 elections, securing the nomination after garnering 145 votes in the party’s primaries.
Announcing the results, Electoral Commission Secretary Abdulaziz Salauddin declared the winner:
“With the highest number of votes cast, I declare Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the primary election.” Salauddin said.

She talks about her recovery and second chance at life:
“Twenty years on, some of my memories are no longer painful or negative. I lost out on some amazing experiences because I was able to get a second chance at life that most people in that place don’t have.”
The aftermath was severe and her injuries took a long time to recover from, the survivor recalled.
Kechi Okwuchi later gained widespread recognition after auditioning for the 12th edition of America’s Got Talent. She also graduated magna cum laude in economics from the University of St. Thomas (Houston) in 2015 and received her MBA magna cum laude.
