Davido opened up on how and where he recorded his highly anticipated new album 5ive in his latest interview with Rolling Stone Africa.
In a recent Rolling Stone interview, Nigeria’s Afrobeats superstar Davido got to know his much-anticipated fifth studio album, “5ive.” The artist revealed that the album was a unique and vibrant atmosphere that appeared in his Malibu residence earlier this year.
Davido describes this experience as a fusion of music, friendship and leisure. For two to three weeks, his producers and engineers camped in the house and immersed in the creative process. “We made amazing music and we had partying. Sometimes we don’t even record it,” Davido shared it. The relaxed and collaborative environment even attracted visits from international celebrities such as Chris Brown.
The artist emphasizes that the laid-back atmosphere helps the album’s organic creation. “It’s so much resonance and we didn’t notice that we were making some paint music.” He said.
“5ive” is scheduled to be released in April 2025 and is expected to celebrate David’s journey. Fans are eagerly awaiting the album, expected to be combined with personal reflections and innovative voices.
