Nigerian music star Davido tells his friendship, commonly known as Hushpuppi, with convicted internet fraudster Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, who reveals that he never knew the real resources of socialites.
In a recent interview, the Afrobeats singer admitted they were friends but claimed he was unaware of Hushpuppi’s criminal activities. Hushpuppi, known for showing off her extravagant lifestyle on social media, is currently sentenced to 11 years in prison in the United States for participating in international cybercrime rings.
Davido pointed out in a reflection that some people choose to enjoy a few years of luxury, even if it means consequences in later life.
“I pray to him that he is my friend.” Davido talks about Hushpuppi. “I just saw him around. I never knew what he was doing. But he lived a good life.”
Before Hushpuppi was arrested in 2020, he regularly attended luxury events and gatherings with celebrities including Davido.
“Hushpuppi lives his life and he is my friend. Some people are happy to hit the ball for 5 years, that’s all. I pray to him. He will come out soon.”
