African Democratic Congress (ADC) Chairman Dele Momodu has denied claims that he is against former presidential candidate Peter Obi.
Momodu made the clarification in response to a post on X by a user named @Blazeregent. The user accused him of harboring anti-Obi sentiment and questioned his right to criticize others.
User X wrote: “First purify yourself and oppose OBI. You have no moral right to criticize such a thing.
“If you have the right to always oppose OBI, then others also have the right to always oppose ATIKU. Dad Wa, please go and rest.”
The comment was in response to Momodu’s earlier post in which he asked the People’s Democratic Party leader, Bode George, to purge himself of anti-Atiku sentiments.
Responding to the criticism, Momodu denied the accusation and reiterated his support for Obi.
“I will never go against Obi. I supported Obi for the first time when Atiku chose him as his running mate.” he wrote.
He also rejected suggestions that there was any rift between Obi and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
“I didn’t know they were enemies. They always respected each other privately and publicly.” Momodu added.
