Nigerian media personality, Dele Momodu, has addressed the ongoing rift between his niece, Sophia Momodu, and music star Davido.

Speaking during a trip to Liberia on February 19, Momodu revealed that several fans asked him about the incident, urging him to step in and help mediate a reconciliation between the former couple.

It was previously reported that Davido had withdrawn his legal action against Sophia over the custody arrangement of his daughter Imad Adeleke. The Afrobeat singer explained that while discussions seemed to be moving in a positive direction, he chose to discontinue the case after his late son was mentioned during the proceedings, describing the moment as deeply hurtful.

Davido insists that over time, his daughter will understand how much he cares about her and how hard he goes for her.

Momodu also revealed that he had received countless messages from supporters of both parties, many of whom were pleading for reconciliation. He noted that these concerns prompted him to assure them that conversations aimed at resolving the dispute were already taking place privately.

Momodu expressed optimism that the matter would eventually be resolved amicably. He further called on well-wishers to pray for the family and stressed that current efforts are focused on achieving a peaceful resolution, especially in the best interests of young Imad.

@goldlef__com: “Every day I wake up and think about Davido not marrying Sofia, I know that’s a good day.”

@hepatitisbc.herpes_totalcure: “They can never work it out, Sofia wants to get married by force.”

@engrevelyn: “What exactly is the solution? She can keep her baby and when she grows up she decides how to relate to both parents.”

@itsmyopinion2023: “…Multiple attempts to destroy this young man without success 😢? @davido I pray God gives you wisdom so that you don’t fall into the trap set for you again 🙏.”

@ghana_bi_1: “Chioma hold on to your man. Whatever they do, don’t leave him to anyone. They will deliberately make you nervous so that you can leave the marriage but stand your ground. I’m sure you will do that.”

@thefoodnetworknig2: “They actually do need to settle out of court…not hard! They can come up with something that works for both of them for the benefit of the kids❤️.”
