
Shimite Winifred Bello, the Governor of the Delta State Trade and Export State, passed away.
The well-known trade and economic experts are allegedly caused by domestic violence.
The details of the event are still sketchy when submitting this report. But Harrison Gwamnishu, a human rights activist and aide to the governor of the Triangle State, confirmed the sad news in a Facebook post on Monday, April 21, 2025.
Another human rights activist, Victor Ojie (commonly known as Wong Box), also confirmed the development.
“Marriage is not about force. Losing a marriage is better than losing a life,” Ojie wrote.
Facebook user, Hon. Oge Okonkwo reports Shimite’s husband was arrested for D3ATH.
Shimite’s assistant Tameta Sunday also confirmed her death, accusing Shimite’s husband K!
His post read in part: “It’s hard to open Rip Boss, knowing a very ugly soul, called a pastor, because the husband cuts down on all the positive plans we have made together,” his post read in part.
Shimitte is late as a coordinator at the Delta State University Center.
She is a key figure in the implementation of the federal government’s social investment program in the Delta State.
She produced and presented “African Pot,” a TV documentary that promotes traditional African cuisine, tourism and culture.
The deceased is a member of the United States Agency for International Development Steering Committee (Nigeria Expanded Trade and Transport)-Rakaji Trade Corridor.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Feseca – the African Economic Change Foundation.
She has served as a contributor to daily trust, leadership and other people’s travel and tourism industries.
